Because: Insecurity and proper management of it, I often have though, can be a very productive driving force. There have been times when my insecurity was so intense it was paralyzing, and others when I have had my system clean of it and ended up foolish and regretful. Eventually I came to accept and welcome it in healthy amounts, so when I saw this quote from the late Helen Gurley Brown (who I admittedly knew very little about) it stuck to me. She has some other fiesty, smart quotes in here.
I also remind myself frequently that everyone is insecure, to some degree and at some point(s), and a genuine, thoughtful and unexpected compliment can do a lot to get people on track.
